Airport Access is relatively easy, thanks to the variety of options available.

You can reach most airports by car, with some airports offering on-site parking for a fee.

Some airports have shuttle services that run from nearby hotels and parking lots.

Many airports also offer public transportation options, such as buses and trains.

For example, some airports have a dedicated rail link that takes passengers directly to the airport.

Overview

The Chase Sapphire Lounge Hong Kong is a spacious lounge, occupying 12,000 square feet. It has an open air design that makes the most of Hong Kong Airport's big glass façade.

The lounge has a reception area where staff will swipe your Priority Pass and send you on your way. I experienced this firsthand and was greeted by cheerful staff.

There are passageways that look like emergency exits but actually lead to new areas. These areas are often empty because you don't expect to find anything there.

Membership and Options

Getting a Priority Pass membership can be a great way to access the Hong Kong Chase Sapphire Lounge, but did you know there are a few ways to obtain one?

You can buy a Priority Pass membership outright, but be aware that it's often more expensive than the annual fee of credit cards that provide a Priority Pass membership as a benefit. The cost of a Priority Pass membership when purchased outright ranges from $99 to $499 per year, depending on the type of membership you choose.

Here's a breakdown of the three options:

If you already have a Priority Pass membership from another card, you can get one complimentary visit per year to a Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club, but you'll still need to show your Priority Pass card to gain entry.

Alternative Priority Pass Membership Options

If you don't have a qualifying Chase card but want to access their lounges, you're in luck: those with a Priority Pass membership from another card can get one complimentary visit per year to a Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club. You'll still need to show your Priority Pass card to gain entry to the lounge.

Some credit cards, like the Capital One Venture X card or U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve card, offer Priority Pass membership as a benefit. This means you can use your membership to access Chase Sapphire Lounges with no additional cost.

The Chase Sapphire Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport is a notable exception: it can be accessed with Priority Pass from any card offering membership, without the once-per-year limitation.

If you want to purchase a Priority Pass membership outright, you have three options to choose from: Standard, Standard Plus, and Prestige. The Standard Membership costs $99 per year, with each member visit priced at $35.

Power and Productivity

The Chase Lounge Hong Kong's Wi-Fi network is surprisingly fast, clocking in at 180 Mbps down and 173 Mbps up. This makes it easy to stay connected and productive during your visit.

Universal power outlets are plentiful throughout the lounge, often located beneath table tops and next to chairs.

The Club at Hong Kong International Airport is a great place to relax before your flight. The Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club at Hong Kong International Airport spans nearly 12,000 square feet.

You can expect a more toned-down experience compared to other club locations. The lounge features a seasonal menu, which is a nice touch.

Craft cocktails and a curated wine list are also available, perfect for unwinding. Local coffee and tea selection is a nice local touch.

Private bathrooms and a nursing room are also available, making it a convenient option for families.

Location and Hours

The Chase Sapphire Lounge in Hong Kong is located in Terminal 1, near Gate 40, and is open daily from 6 a.m to 12 a.m. This makes it a convenient option for most departures from the airport.

The lounge is relatively close to the Centurion Lounge, near Gate 60, which is also open from 7 a.m to 12 a.m. This means eligible passengers can easily hop between the two lounges.

To access the Chase Sapphire Lounge, you'll need a Priority Pass or LoungeKey membership. Unfortunately, DragonPass is not currently accepted. It's worth noting that Priority Pass and LoungeKey members have some restrictions on visiting Chase Sapphire Lounges in the USA, but these don't apply to lounges outside the USA like Hong Kong.

Arrival & Location

The Chase Sapphire Lounge has a few locations around the world, but I'll focus on the one I've personally experienced in Hong Kong. The lounge is located in the West Hall of the International Departures area near Gate 40.

To access the lounge, take the Skytrain towards the far gate after clearing immigration. It's located at the same spot as the Emirates Lounge, but be aware that the Skytrain only goes in one direction, so you'll need to walk back if you're departing from a gate around the main terminal area.

You can expect the journey to take around 15 to 20 minutes. The lounge itself has a modern and glam entrance, and upon arrival, you'll need to present your boarding pass and Priority Pass card for entrance.

Here are the current locations of the Chase Sapphire Lounges:

  • Boston (BOS)
  • Hong Kong (HKG)
  • New York City (JFK)
  • New York City (LGA)
  • Austin-Bergstorm International Airport (with the Chase Sapphire Terrace, an indoor-outdoor space accessible with your Sapphire Reserve Card)
