The Chase Sapphire Lounge US Open is a fantastic perk for cardholders, offering a luxurious experience at multiple US airports.
You can access the lounge at several major airports, including Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), and San Francisco International Airport (SFO).
The lounge is open during the US Open, which typically takes place in late August and early September.
Cardholders can enjoy complimentary food and drinks, as well as comfortable seating and amenities like free Wi-Fi.
Airport Access
Airport access is relatively straightforward, but there are some important details to keep in mind. The Chase Sapphire Terraces, like the one at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, are not accessible with Priority Pass, but rather require a Chase Sapphire Reserve or J.P. Morgan Reserve card.
You can access Sapphire lounges through the Chase app, even without your physical Priority Pass card, as long as you have activated your associated Priority Pass membership. To do this, log in to the Chase mobile app, go to "Benefits & Travel", and select a Sapphire lounge location to generate a digital membership card.
If you have a qualifying Chase card, you can visit Sapphire lounges again and again, but even those with a Priority Pass from another card can access Sapphire Lounges at least once a year.
JFK Airport

If you're flying out of JFK Airport, you'll want to know the basics about the airport's amenities. The Chase Sapphire Lounge New York Kennedy is a great option to consider, especially if you're looking for a comfortable spot to relax before your flight.
The Chase Sapphire Lounge New York Kennedy is located in Terminal 4, just past security, above gate A2. It's open daily from 5AM until 11PM, so you can visit at a time that suits your schedule.
The lounge itself is roughly 7,600 square feet, and it's operated in partnership with Etihad Airways. It's worth noting that the lounge is a bit smaller than some of the others, but it still has a lot to offer.
Here are some key details about the Chase Sapphire Lounge New York Kennedy:
- Location: Terminal 4, just past security, above gate A2
- Hours: Daily from 5AM until 11PM
- Size: Roughly 7,600 square feet
Whether or not the Chase Sapphire Lounge New York Kennedy is the right choice for you will depend on your individual needs and preferences.
Phoenix Sky Harbor by The Club

The Phoenix Sky Harbor Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club is a great spot to relax before your flight. It's located in Terminal 4 in the South 1 Concourse.
The lounge is open from 4:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily, so you can grab a bite or a drink at any time of day.
The menu was developed by James Beard–nominated chef Stephen Jones, who also runs the Larder & the Delta in Phoenix.
You can grab a snack from the buffet area or visit the Airstream food truck for something more substantial. The Airstream food truck serves up turkey wraps, buffalo cauliflower, breakfast tacos, and overnight oats, among other options.
If you're in the mood for something cold, they've got flavored water, soft drinks, beer, and wine available.
How to Access
Accessing airport lounges can be a game-changer for travelers. You can access Chase Sapphire lounges through a qualifying credit card, such as Chase Sapphire Reserve or J.P. Morgan Reserve.

To access a Chase Sapphire Lounge, you can use your physical Priority Pass card or generate a digital membership card in the Chase mobile app. I've personally used this feature when I didn't have my physical card on me.
If you're a non-Chase Priority Pass member, you can still access a Chase Sapphire Lounge, but you'll need to pay $75 per person per visit after your first complimentary visit per calendar year.
Travelers with a Ritz-Carlton Credit Card can also access Chase Sapphire lounges for free with an active Priority Pass. I recently tried to access the Sapphire Terrace in AUS with my Ritz card, but was told only Sapphire Reserve cardholders are eligible.
You'll typically need an outgoing boarding pass for a flight within 3 hours to access a Sapphire lounge upon arrival. I tried to access the Sapphire Terrace without a boarding pass and was unable to do so.
Here's a quick rundown of how to access Chase Sapphire lounges:
- Use your physical Priority Pass card or generate a digital membership card in the Chase mobile app.
- Pay $75 per person per visit after your first complimentary visit per calendar year if you're a non-Chase Priority Pass member.
- Use your Ritz-Carlton Credit Card with an active Priority Pass for free access.
- Have an outgoing boarding pass for a flight within 3 hours to access a Sapphire lounge upon arrival.
Club Amenities

The Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club offers a range of amenities across its locations.
A bar is a standard feature in the open Chase Sapphire Lounges, including the Phoenix Sky Harbor location.
You'll also find a patio space in many of the lounges, like the one at Phoenix Sky Harbor airport.
Local artwork is on display in some lounges, such as the Phoenix Sky Harbor Chase Sapphire Lounge, which features pieces by Matthew Kirk and Timmy Ham.
Food options vary by lounge, but the Phoenix Sky Harbor location offers a buffet area with snacks like tortilla chips and guacamole.
The Airstream food truck at the Phoenix Sky Harbor lounge serves up turkey wraps, buffalo cauliflower, breakfast tacos, and overnight oats.
Coffee and espresso drinks from Arizona-based Press Coffee are available at the Phoenix Sky Harbor lounge.
A wine selection from New York retailer Parcelle is also offered at the Phoenix Sky Harbor lounge, along with beer, cocktails, flavored water, and soft drinks.
Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for the Chase Sapphire Lounge in the US can be a bit tricky to navigate. If you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve card, you get unlimited complimentary access to the lounge and can bring up to two guests free of charge.
The lounge is also accessible to Priority Pass members, but there's a catch. If you have a Priority Pass membership through the Chase Sapphire Reserve, you can access the lounge an unlimited number of times with up to two complimentary guests. This same policy applies to those with the Ritz Carlton Credit Card, although that card is no longer open to new cardmembers.
However, if you have a Priority Pass membership issued through any other means, you can access the lounge once per calendar year at no additional cost. But, be warned, this is a one-time visit across all lounges, not per lounge, and you'll need to pay $75 for subsequent visits, as well as for guests.

If you don't have a Priority Pass membership, you can buy access to the lounge for $100 per person per visit, subject to availability. But, don't try to get in too early - the lounge is only accessible within three hours of departure, unless you're connecting, in which case you can access the lounge earlier.
Here's a breakdown of the entry requirements:
- Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders: Unlimited complimentary access with up to two complimentary guests.
- Priority Pass members through Chase Sapphire Reserve: Unlimited access with up to two complimentary guests.
- Priority Pass members through other means: One free visit per calendar year, subsequent visits and guests are $75.
- Non-Priority Pass members: $100 per person per visit, subject to availability.

Morgan Reserve, or Ritz-Carlton cardholder and you don't have your Priority Pass card on you, you can generate a digital pass in the Chase app.

To generate a digital membership card, log in to the Chase mobile app, go to “Benefits & Travel”, and scroll to the “Explore lounges” section. Select a Sapphire lounge location and you'll be able to generate a digital membership card using the button at the bottom.
It's worth noting that even if you have a Ritz card, your Priority Pass will show up branded with “Sapphire” on the digital card.
