Making Tax Payments

You can make payments to the Franchise Tax Board in various ways.

Individual and business taxpayers can use Web Pay, which is available online.

The California Franchise Tax Board offers taxpayers four ways to pay their estimated tax payments, extension payments, or the amount due on their back taxes or current year tax returns. These options include:

  • Web Pay –Individual and Business taxpayers
  • Mail –Check, Money Order
  • In-Person at Franchise Tax Board Field Offices

Taxpayers subject to the mandatory electronic funds transfer (EFT) requirement can use credit card payments to meet this EFT requirement.

Businesses can also pay their taxes online through the MyTax Missouri system, which allows them to file and pay business taxes using a credit card or E-Check.

If you're paying by E-Check, you'll need to provide your routing number and checking or savings account number, and there will be a 50-cent handling fee.
