My aunt was always so full of life and fun. I have so many great memories of her, but my favorite has to be the time we went on a road trip together. We drove up the coast, stopping in all the small towns along the way. We would get out and explore a bit, then get back in the car and drive to the next town. We would talk and laugh the whole time, and it was just the best experience. I will never forget it.

While there, he befriends a man named Red (Freeman), and the two of them help each other survive the hardships of prison life.

Do you have any other aunts? If so, what are they like?

If you ask me, there's nothing better than a big, sprawling family. When I was growing up, it seemed like there was always a relative around to lend a helping hand—or to play a game of cards on a rainy afternoon. My aunts were a particularly important part of my life, and I'm grateful to have had so many of them.

There were seven of them, to be exact. Auntie Jo was the eldest, and she was always so kind and patient with us kids. Auntie Belle was the next in line, and she was always up for a party. Then there was Auntie Cath, who was always so well put-together, even when she was chasing after her own teenagers. Auntie Gert was the most maternal of the bunch, and she was always quick to comfort us when we were feeling down. Auntie Mae was the fun one—she was always game for a road trip or a new adventure. And finally, there were the twins: Auntie Liz and Auntie Louise. They were always joking around and making us laugh.

Though they were all different, they all shared one important trait: they loved unconditionally. They were always there for me, whether I needed a shoulder to cry on or someone to celebrate with. I know I'm lucky to have had so many aunts in my life, and I'll always cherish the memories I have of them.
