Getting to UBS Arena is easier than you think. The LIRR station is conveniently located near the venue.

The UBS Arena LIRR station is a state-of-the-art facility that offers a seamless travel experience for fans. It's a great option for those who want to avoid traffic and parking hassles.

The station is situated on the Long Island Rail Road's Port Washington Branch, making it easily accessible from various parts of Long Island.

Getting There

Getting to UBS Arena is a breeze, thanks to its convenient location and multiple transportation options.

The arena has a dedicated Long Island Railroad (LIRR) station, making it easy to get there from Manhattan. Take the LIRR from Penn Station or Grand Central Station to the Elmont-UBS Arena station, which takes approximately 30 minutes.

Regular shuttles are provided before and after events to and from the Elmont-UBS Arena LIRR stop, so you can travel in comfort. If you prefer to drive, there are five parking facilities available.

Three bus lines service the arena: MTA Q110, MTA Q3, and Nice Bus N6 Line. You can also take the ferry from Bridgeport to Port Jefferson and then transfer to the LIRR if you're coming from further away.

The LIRR has three train stations you can get off at to get to the arena: Jamaica, Queens Village, and Belmont Park. The Belmont Park Station is the closest to the arena and is located directly adjacent to it.

From Jamaica, you can transfer to a westbound train to Belmont Park, and two trains will leave from Jamaica to Belmont Park on gameday. Two more will leave from Belmont Park at the conclusion of the game and return to Jamaica.

If you live near the Hempstead branch, you can get off at Queens Village and take the UBS Arena shuttles to the stadium.

One Year Later

The Elmont UBS Arena Station has been open for a year, but it's clear that there's still room for improvement. The station's east bound platform was actually opened months before the west bound platform, which was completed just in time for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Many LIRR riders have a one seat ride to the UBS Arena, but not all of them. Riders from the Babylon, Speonk, West Hempstead, Long Beach, and Far Rockaway branches still have to change at Jamaica Station before doubling back east.

The source of funding for the station was an interest-free loan from the state, courtesy of the Empire State Development Corporation. The developers put in $30 million upfront and the state $75 million, and they'll continue to make payments over the next 30 years without interest.

Riders would welcome some basic amenities, like real bathroom facilities and ADA compliance. And why not convert the station track overpass into a proper waiting area with seating, security cameras, and HVAC units?
