Contacting TSP
You can contact the TSP Service office by calling ThriftLine at 1-TSP-YOU-FIRST (1-877-968-3778) or Text telephone at 1-TSP-THRIFT5 (1-877-847-4385).

Call during business hours from Monday to Friday 7.00 am to 9.00 pm ET.
You can also use ThriftLine to know your account password, check the progress of your withdrawal, and check the status of a TSP loan.
When calling ThriftLine, you will be required to provide your ThriftLine PIN.
If you have forgotten your PIN, you can request a new PIN through your TSP account or by calling ThriftLine.
To send mail or contact TSP via mail, make sure you are sending the mail to the correct TSP mailing address.
Updating Mailing Address
If you've recently moved to a new location, you'll want to update your TSP mailing address as soon as possible. TSP often sends important communications via mail, and if you delay reporting your new address, they'll send mail to your old address.
You have two options to update your address, depending on your status with the federal government. If you're an active federal service employee, your agency is responsible for maintaining your TSP account and relaying any changes to TSP.
It can take 2 to 3 weeks for the change to take effect after reporting your new mailing address to your agency. You'll need to contact your agency to make this change.
If you're no longer a federal service employee, you're responsible for notifying TSP about the change in mailing address or other changes in your personal information. You'll need to obtain and complete Form TSP-9 (Change in Address for a Separated Participant).
Account Recovery
If you've forgotten your TSP account number, you can recover it by calling the TSP ThriftLine at 1-877-968-3778.
You'll need to provide your personal information to verify your identity, and the representative will submit your request and mail your account number to you in several weeks.
To log in to your TSP account, go to the TSP website and enter your username and password.
From there, navigate to the "My Account" tab and click on "Account Summary" to find your account number.
If you've forgotten your username or password, click on “Forgot username or password” and enter your Social Security Number to receive an email with your username and account number.
You can also check your old TSP participant statement to find your account number, which is a 13-digit number on the first page of the statement.
Your TSP account number is TSP's primary method of identifying your account and it cannot be changed.
