If you're a Chase Ink and Sapphire cardholder, you're likely accumulating a stash of Ultimate Rewards points. These points can be redeemed for travel, cash back, or other rewards, but combining them with other Chase cards can unlock even more benefits.

You can transfer points between cards, allowing you to pool your rewards and redeem them for more valuable rewards.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred card, for example, offers a 60% transfer bonus when you transfer points to popular airline and hotel loyalty programs.

To transfer your Chase Ultimate Rewards points to travel partners, you'll need to have them in one of your Chase premium cards. You can access the exclusive benefit of transferring to Chase travel partners by going to Chase.com and clicking on one of your premium cards.

Each premium card will give you the option to access Ultimate Rewards. In my case, I transferred points from my Chase Sapphire Preferred, a premium card. You can also transfer points from your other no-annual-fee Chase cards to your premium card if you need more points.

On the Ultimate Rewards page, click the "Travel" drop-down arrow, then navigate to "Transfer Points to Partners". This is where you can select your preferred transfer partner, such as Flying Blue (Air France/KLM). You'll need a frequent flier account with your chosen transfer partner, which is free to enroll in.

The transfer ratio is 1:1, so 1 Ultimate Rewards Point equals 1 Frequent Flier Mile. You can transfer points in 1,000 Ultimate Rewards increments, with a minimum amount of 1,000 points allowed for transfers. Points transfers typically take up to 7 days to complete.
