Career
Zafar Masud's career has been marked by significant milestones in the banking industry. He started his career as a banker at American Express Bank in 1994.

Masud's experience in banking led him to join Citibank in Pakistan a year later. He then moved on to Dubai Islamic Bank to help establish its operations in Pakistan and headed its corporate banking division in 2005.
From 2008 to 2011, Masud headed the Southern Africa division of Barclays. This experience gave him valuable insight into the global banking landscape.
In 2011, Masud took a bold step by founding Burj Capital, an investment bank. He later sold it to private equity in 2015.
