There are a lot of different factors that go into answer this question. In this essay, I will attempt to answer this question by looking at a few different aspects of American society.

From 2006 to 2009, Lew served as Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources, where he was responsible for the Department’s budget, finances, and resources.

Lew has also served as Executive Director of the National Economic Council and as Special Assistant to the President for Policy Development. In these roles, he advised President Clinton on a range of economic and domestic policy issues.

Lew began his career in Washington, D.C., as a Legislative Assistant to Representative Stephen Solarz. He later served as a Senior Policy Advisor on the House Budget Committee, as a Counselor to Speaker of the House Thomas Foley, and as Legislative Director for Representative Barney Frank.
