What is the plot of the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen movie?

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen is the second installment in the live-action Transformers movies and tells the story of the ongoing battle between Autobots and Decepticons on Earth. It follows the first film, in which the Autobots managed to save humanity from total annihilation by stopping Megatron's plan to enslave them. The plot follows a group of humans (Sam Witwicky, his family and friends) who discover the existence of Autobots and join forces with them against their enemy. The Fallen has arrived on earth armed with a sinister weapon that has never before been seen by humans or Autobots - an ancient solar harvester which he intends to use to cleanse Earth of all life forms. Sam, Optimus Prime and all his remaining allies must come together in a desperate bid to save mankind from destruction by The Fallen and his Decepticons followers before it’s too late. But could they really win against such overwhelming odds?

The movie is packed full of action scenes filled with spectacular visual effects; with transforming robots battling it out in exciting, turbo-charged fights across land, sea -even space!
