When Does Naruto Leave the Item Shop?

It was a quiet day in the Leaf Village. The sun was shining and the birds were singing. The wind was blowing gently through the trees. All was right in the world.

"I was just looking around. I don't need anything."

"That's too bad. I was just about to buy some new scrolls. I was wondering if you wanted to help me pick some out."

"I don't know. I don't really need anything."

"Please Naruto. It would mean a lot to me."
