The United States Postal Service (USPS) offers dental insurance to its employees, a benefit that's hard to find in many other industries.
Eligible postal workers can enroll in the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP).
This program offers a range of dental plans to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and costs.
USPS employees can select from several FEDVIP dental plans, including the Delta Dental Premier plan, which provides coverage for routine cleanings, fillings, and other essential dental services.

Exclusions and Limitations
Pre-existing conditions are not covered, including conditions you've had symptoms of in the past 12 months. This means if you've had a persistent cough or recurring headaches, you won't be covered for those.
Some treatments, like acupuncture and homeopathic remedies, are also excluded. If you're looking for alternative therapies, you'll need to consider additional coverage.
Chronic conditions, such as diabetes or hypertension, are not covered if they're not being actively managed. This means if you're not taking medication or following a treatment plan, you won't be covered.
There are also limitations on coverage for certain medical procedures, like cosmetic surgery or elective procedures. If you're looking to get a facelift or other non-essential surgery, you'll need to consider additional coverage or private insurance.
Your coverage is also limited to $1,000 per year for dental care, including routine cleanings and fillings.
