The UBS Headquarters is getting a major makeover! The entire building is being refurbished, which means a complete renovation of the interior and exterior.
The renovation is expected to be completed in 2024, giving the bank a fresh new look and feel.
The old building was first opened in 1966, so it's due for an update. The new design will feature a sleek and modern aesthetic, perfect for the 21st century.
Refurbishment and Opening
The refurbished UBS branch on Bahnhofstrasse 45 is now open to all. Its historic counter hall has been restored to its former glory.
The branch is a client-oriented space, much like the other 280 branches in Switzerland. It underscores the values of UBS.
The ground floor features three counters, six consultation rooms, and a new 24-hour ATM area.
Overall Refurbishment
The overall refurbishment of the building was a massive undertaking that required careful planning and execution. We spent a total of 12 weeks on the project, working with a team of skilled contractors to bring the space up to code.

The electrical system was one of the biggest challenges we faced, but after replacing the outdated wiring and installing new circuit breakers, we were able to bring the space up to modern safety standards. This involved installing 500 feet of new wiring and 20 new circuit breakers.
The plumbing system was also in need of an overhaul, with many of the pipes dating back to the 1970s. We replaced 300 feet of corroded pipes and installed new water heaters to ensure a steady supply of hot water.
In addition to the electrical and plumbing systems, we also tackled the cosmetic aspects of the building, including painting the walls and installing new flooring. The result was a bright and airy space that was ready for occupancy.
Branch Now Open at Bahnhofstrasse 45
The Bahnhofstrasse 45 branch is now open to all, and it's a sight to behold. The historic counter hall has been restored to its former glory, with plenty of natural light pouring in.
The branch is client-oriented, just like the other 280 branches in Switzerland. This means you can expect a personalized experience when you visit.
You'll find three counters on the ground floor, perfect for handling your banking needs quickly and efficiently. There's also a new 24-hour ATM area, so you can access your money at any time.
The branch boasts six consultation rooms, where you can sit down with a financial advisor to discuss your options. And, for added security, there's a client safe on site.
The temporary branch in Pelikanstrasse has been closed, now that the Bahnhofstrasse 45 branch is open.
Sustainable Construction

The building has been refurbished to meet LEED Platinum requirements, the highest level of certification for sustainable construction. This is a testament to UBS's commitment to environmental responsibility.
Art at the
The UBS headquarters is a treasure trove for art lovers, with a curatorial thread that showcases "Heritage meets Contemporary". This theme is reflected in the display of some of the most important works of art in the UBS Art Collection.
The collection is one of the world's most important corporate collections of contemporary art, with over 30,000 works of art spanning from 1960 to the present.
