Early Life and Education

Career

In 2005, IBTC merged with two commercial banks to become IBTC Chartered, and David-Borha continued to play a key role in the company.

She eventually became the deputy chief executive of Stanbic IBTC Bank and head of international banking coverage in Africa (excluding South Africa) in 2007.

In 2011, David-Borha was promoted to chief executive of Stanbic IBTC Bank, and in 2012, she took on the role of chief executive of Stanbic IBTC Holdings.

Just five years later, in 2017, she was appointed as the chief executive of the Standard Bank Group, a position she held until her retirement.

David-Borha was a non-executive director of Coca-Cola HBC AG since June 2015, and also served on the boards of CR Services Credit Bureau PLC and the University of Ibadan Business School.

In September 2020, Stanbic IBTC Holdings appointed her as a non-executive director, a role she held until her retirement in 2021.

David-Borha retired after 31 years at Stanbic IBTC in April 2021, and was replaced as CEO Standard Bank Africa Regions by Yinka Sanni.
