Tyler Boebert, Rep. Lauren Boebert's 18-year-old son, was arrested on felony charges related to a string of vehicle break-ins. He's accused of being part of a group that used stolen credit cards to make purchases at gas stations and McDonald's.
The alleged thefts occurred on February 21, when a woman's wallet containing $75 cash, two Venmo debit cards, and her mother's credit card was stolen from her car. The suspects tried to use her Venmo cards and her mother's credit card at a nearby Kum & Go gas station.
Tyler Boebert was identified from a surveillance video at the gas station, wearing a hoody from Shooter's Grill, a restaurant his mother used to own. He was also recognized by police from previous encounters.
The suspects were caught on camera at the gas station at the same time a stolen card was used. An underage person also told police that Tyler Boebert had a sex tape with one of the accomplices.
Tyler Boebert has been charged with 22 felony counts. He was released without bail after a brief court hearing via video conference.

The victim's driver's license was mailed back to her a few days after the alleged theft, but without any sender information.
A letter claiming the ID was found "loose in mail" was included with the returned license, and it was written on paper from the Aspen Real Estate Company.
Tyler Boebert was identified in part because he was wearing a sweatshirt from his mother's now-closed bar, Shooters Grill.
