Providers can get an on-the-spot estimate for a selected service, making it easier to provide quotes to their customers. This feature is a game-changer for providers who want to give their customers a quick and accurate quote.

Our integration also makes it easy to submit invoices and process gap payments, ensuring that providers receive payment for their services.

Manage Quotes, Claims and Payments

Managing quotes, claims, and payments is a breeze with our services. We've integrated with nib to make it easier for providers to get invoices approved and receive payment.

You can get an on-the-spot estimate for a selected service, which is super convenient. This allows you to quickly determine the cost of a service and plan accordingly.

Our integration with nib also enables you to submit an invoice and process gap payments. This streamlines the process and ensures you get paid for your work.

Batch Invoice Upload

With our batch invoice upload feature, you can submit multiple invoices at once, making it quicker and easier to manage your invoices.

You can export your invoice's claim information from your practice management software, spreadsheet, or accounting software.

This data can then be uploaded into Tyro Health Online, where it will be submitted electronically direct to nib.

Making Comcare invoicing a streamlined process, saving you time and effort.

Diversification and Expansion

We've been expanding our services to better meet the needs of our customers. In 2010, we purchased IMAN International Pty Ltd, a specialist provider of health cover for temporary migrant workers in Australia, for approximately $25 million.

Our global expansion continued with the acquisition of TOWER Medical Insurance in New Zealand in 2012 for approximately NZ$102 million (A$80 million). This made nib New Zealand the country's second largest health insurer, providing health and medical insurance to around 160,000 New Zealanders.

We've also formed strategic partnerships to enhance our services. In 2014, we entered a distribution alliance with Suncorp subsidiary Apia to sell private health insurance under the Apia brand.

In 2016, we acquired World Nomads Group, Australia's third-largest distributor of travel insurance, for $95 million. We rebranded it as nib Travel in 2019 and continued to expand our travel insurance offerings.

We've also made strategic acquisitions to strengthen our position in the market. In 2019, we acquired GU Health, Australia's only established specialist corporate group health insurer, for $155.5 million.

Our Approach

At Nib Health Funds, we take a straightforward approach to helping you manage your health expenses. Our goal is to provide you with simple, affordable, and hassle-free health insurance options.

We believe in transparency, which is why we clearly outline our policies and procedures in our PDS and FSG documents. These documents provide a detailed explanation of our products and services, so you can make informed decisions about your health insurance.

Our no-surprises policy ensures that you'll never receive a shock bill or unexpected out-of-pocket expenses. We'll work with you to find a solution that fits your budget and meets your health needs.
