If you're looking to transfer money from Maya to GCash, you'll want to know about the transfer fees involved. Maya charges a transfer fee of 0.5% of the transfer amount, with a minimum fee of PHP 20 and a maximum fee of PHP 500.
The transfer fee is deducted from the sender's Maya account, and the recipient's GCash account will receive the remaining balance. For example, if you transfer PHP 10,000 from Maya to GCash, the transfer fee would be PHP 50, and the recipient would receive PHP 9,950.
Maya also offers a "no-fee" transfer option for amounts above PHP 50,000. This means that the transfer fee will be waived, but you'll need to ensure that you have sufficient funds in your account to cover the transaction.
Sending Money
To send money from Maya to GCash, you'll need to open your Maya app and log in to your account.
The process is straightforward, and you can find the "BANK TRANSFER" icon below your available wallet balance.
You'll then select G-Xchange / GCash from the list of banks, which is in alphabetical order.
Input the required details such as the amount to be sent, purpose of fund transfer, account number, and account name.
Make sure to review and double-check the details on the Confirmation Page before proceeding.
You'll receive a one-time pin (OTP) via SMS, which you'll need to enter and verify before completing the transfer.
The transaction fee for Maya to GCash is PHP 15.00 pesos, which you should have extra balance in your Maya account to pay for.
Here are the steps to follow:
- Open your Maya App and login to your account.
- Tap "BANK TRANSFER" icon below your available wallet balance.
- Select G-Xchange / GCash from the list of banks.
- Input the required details such as: Amount to be sent, Purpose of fund transfer, Account Number, and Account Name.
- Review and double-check the details on the Confirmation Page.
- Enter the 6-digit PIN and tap "VERIFY" then tap "DONE".
Take note of the Reference ID for future reference, and you can check your transaction from the Transactions on the app's main menu.
Transfer Fees and Options
Maya to GCash transfer fees can be a bit steep, but there are some options to consider. The minimum transfer fee is 15 pesos, and it's free to transfer up to 500 pesos.
If you need to transfer more than 500 pesos, the fee increases to 1.5% of the transaction amount. This can add up quickly, especially for larger transfers.
You can also save on fees by using Maya's peso-peso transfer option, which charges a flat rate of 10 pesos per transfer. This can be a more affordable option for frequent transfers.
Cash-in
Cash-in is a viable option for those looking to avoid transfer fees.
Transfer fees can be a significant expense, especially for larger transactions.
Some banks and financial institutions charge a flat fee for cash-in, while others may charge a percentage of the transaction amount.
For example, a bank may charge a 1% fee on a $10,000 cash-in transaction.
This means the recipient would receive $9,900, after the fee is deducted.
