Live Oak Bank Expands
The new headquarters of Live Oak Bank is being built on a 5-acre site near the corner of Independence and Shipyard Boulevards.
The bank will occupy a 36,000-square-foot two-story building that will provide windows and natural light for every employee.
The structure is being designed by LS3P Associates in Wilmington and will be constructed by Raleigh-based Clancy & Theys Construction Co.
The building is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2013.
Live Oak Bank is currently located at 2605 Iron Gate Drive and has loan-production offices in Atlanta and Englewood, Colo.
The bank is the only one headquartered in Wilmington.
