However, the side buttons on the X Venture can be quite sensitive, often getting pressed when taking the phone out of your pocket or holding it in landscape mode. This was probably the most annoying aspect of the phone during my time using it.

The back of the phone is completely rubber, making it easy to grip but feeling a bit dated. There's a camera at the top center, with a flash on the left side, and logos for AT&T and LG. At the bottom-left corner is a tiny speaker grill.

The LG X Venture has a massive 4,100mAh battery that's fantastic for its price. You can easily go two days on a single charge, maybe three if you don't use it much.

The phone supports Qualcomm QuickCharge 2.0, which is a great feature for busy users. A QC-compatible wall charger and cable are even included in the box, so you don't have to buy extra accessories.

In my testing, I regularly saw between 6-7 hours of screen-on time, but your results may vary depending on your usage. I don't do much mobile gaming, so I'm not pushing the battery to its limits.

One day I left the phone alone for 12 hours, and it was still at 98% - thanks to Android 7.0's Doze feature. This is a testament to the phone's efficient power management.

LG's launchers are pretty good, and you can change the swipe effect, grid size, and app sort, except with EasyHome, which offers no customization beyond the app icons.

One of the launchers I used during the review period was the Google Now Launcher, but LG's launchers are definitely worth considering.

You can also find a few other LG apps on the X Venture, such as LG Health (a fitness app), Outdoor Essentials (displays barometer/compass/weather info), QuickMemo+ (a notepad), and an FM radio.

The X Venture also comes with some bloatware, including Amazon, AT&T Call Protect, and DirecTV, but thankfully, you can disable most of them except AT&T Device Help.
