He was arraigned via video for the crime, which is punishable by up to life in prison.
Huggins was previously convicted of a similar crime in 2011 for robbing a Bank of America in Sterling Heights.
The 2011 robbery involved Huggins writing a note on a banking slip and handing it to the teller, who then handed over cash.
Huggins was sentenced to two years of probation, with the first four months on house arrest, for the 2011 crime.
He was still on probation when arrested for the Flagstar robbery on Wednesday.
The Flagstar robbery involved Huggins passing a note to the teller implying he had a gun and ordering money be turned over.
Huggins fled the scene on a green mountain bike and was later arrested at his home in Macomb Township.
A tip from someone who recognized him led to his arrest, according to the Macomb County sheriff's deputies.
