Checkfree deposit options have made remote banking a breeze. With the rise of digital banking, you can now deposit checks from the comfort of your own home.

You can deposit checks remotely using the mobile banking app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices. This feature is free and allows you to deposit checks in just a few taps.

Mobile deposit limits vary by bank, but most allow you to deposit up to $5,000 per day. Some banks may also have higher limits for certain types of accounts or for customers who have been with the bank for a while.

The deposit process is usually quick and easy, taking just a few minutes to complete.

How to Deposit Checks

To deposit checks using CheckFree's Remote Deposit Capture, you'll need a scanner, a computer, and an Internet connection. Many printers come with scanners, so you might already have one.

Customers will go to their home banking site, enter the amount of the check, scan both sides, do a quick review, and submit it to the bank. This process is fairly simple, according to CheckFree's vice president of global strategic marketing, Rod Springhetti.

Banks will have the option to add their own fraud protection to prevent bad checks from being cashed. Normal processing times will apply, Springhetti said.

You'll need to check with your bank to see if they offer this service and if it's available to you. Not all banks have committed to using the technology, but many smaller competitors may follow CheckFree's lead.
