BBVA Relocation to NYC

BBVA is moving its New York City headquarters to the Far West Side of Manhattan.

The bank signed a lease for 74,000 square feet across two floors of Brookfield Properties' 2 Manhattan West.

BBVA plans to move its 350 New York City employees from Fisher Brothers' 1345 Avenue of the Americas in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The move will be to floors 8-9 in the 58-story tower, Two Manhattan West.

The building, Two Manhattan West, boasts LEED-Gold certification and offers various amenities, ties to transit hubs, and sustainable features, including sourcing all electricity from renewable sources.

BBVA will occupy around 74,000 square feet across floors 8-9 in the 58-story tower.

The average asking rent in Midtown in the third quarter of 2023 was $82.68 per square foot.

This move is part of BBVA's growth plans in the US, as well as its commitment to sustainability, by choosing a building powered by renewable energy.

Two Manhattan West has surpassed 80% occupancy, joining other major tenants like KPMG, Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, Clifford Chance, and the D.E. Shaw Group.
