Banking Foundation

Banca Teatina has a unique banking foundation that operates as a charity organization. This foundation was spun off from its former largest shareholder, Fondazione Chieti – Abruzzo e Molise.

The foundation still maintains a significant presence, owning a substantial amount of assets. As of 31 December 2016, the foundation had a net assets of €11 million.

Interestingly, this is a stark contrast to the foundation's assets in 2014, which stood at €89 million.

Ubi Banca has successfully integrated Banca Teatina into its system, ensuring seamless operations in all migrated branches.

The integration involved 58 branches, and it was completed after Banca Teatina was acquired on February 22.

Ubi Banca's system is now fully operational after the migration, guaranteeing the continuity of services for customers.

Nuova Carichi e

Nuova Carichi e was a significant turning point for Banca Teatina. On November 22, 2015, the bank split into a "good" and "bad bank".

This move marked the end of the foundation's control over the company, which had no assets but share capital and subordinated debt. The new bank had a share capital of €141 million and a Tier 1 capital ratio of estimated 9%.

The bad loans were transferred to a single "bad bank" REV - Gestione Crediti, which was shared with Carife, Banca Etruria, and Banca Marche. This transfer was completed in January 2016.

At the time, CariChieti had a net equity of €117 million and a CET1 ratio of 9.53%.
